  • Although this theme park draws in crowds all year round, the most popular time of year to visit is between November and March, when the winter illuminations are on. It holds one of the greatest light shows in Japan, with a tunnel of lights, a light cloud and a different theme every year. The botanical garden is lit up by millions of LED lights, which are solar-powered, and create stunning images of mountains, flowers and the sea, and this is all set within the Nabana No Sato’s beautiful gardens and outdoor footbaths and spas.

The lights are turned on at dusk and the garden is transformed into a magical winter wonderland. And if you are lucky, you may even get the chance to see the gardens with snow, adding to this incredible experience. What a magical way to enjoy the cold winter evenings in Japan!
